Tesoro is going through something of a rebrand currently, so we were interested to see what it had up its sleeves. The first keyboard we saw was the Gram Spectrum, a low-profile mechanical RGB keyboard that uses switches with a low 1.5mm actuation point (total travel 3.5mm). These switches are of its own design, and manufactured by an undisclosed third party. The low-profile keycaps are double injection models, and the keyboard has a metal top cover with a matt, anti-fingerprint coating as well as a detachable cable. All keys can be reprogrammed, and the RGB lighting is per-key as well. The Gram Spectrum will launch very soon in both black and white with an MSRP of £139.

The second and final new thing we saw from Tesoro wasn't a final product but more a proof of concept. It has designed and produced another set of new switches (again via a third party OEM) which, instead of using metal contact to actuate, use a pair of infrared sensors to detect when a light beam is cut. This allows Tesoro to keep the switch properly sealed and resistant to water and dust and other such nasties, a fact it demonstrated by having one of the prototypes constantly splashed with water. The actual feel of the switches is designed to mimic the force curves of the main Cherry MX models.
